used V.D.E groundbait it must of been solid man
I always use Belgian groundbait for silvers unless i'm using Bloodworm/Joker.
I think using groundbait with a higher salt content helps to get them feeding and helps them digest the food easier.
Especially the bigger older fish........

groundbait is a personal thing and if it gives you the confidence then that's all the better some of the french would disagree about salt

It's funny how the French and Belgians, possibly the two countries that understand more about it than any others, always disagree and argue about whether salt in groundbait is right or not yet us English just use whatever.
