Perhaps if you had caught some you would not have been so lethargic
Golfs a game for people who cannot catch fish

I think I detect a peg checking exercise being carried out shortly

Dont you mean a fact finding mission? I think you may need to take someone who has a cooker with you as the weather can easily turn cold overnight at this time of year. You will need to have access to fresh hot drinks for health and safety reasons.

Sorry bad choice of words

You must use the correct words Terry otherwise some will interpret incorrectly that you are purely going to practice.

Well following a phone call from a Wily Coyote it looks like there may be a Marsh AC Fact Finding Mission next Wednesday.
That is unless the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Looks like there may be a few new poles on view at the first match. I know of 3 members who have raided their savings so far.
You never know Tony and Clive may have decided that a new pole would be cheaper than the cost of repairs/ replacements.
Once Mugger gets to play with Simons new Maver Im sure he will be thinking of getting one.

The management would like to report a complete failure to find any "facts" yesterday despite extensive research
On the positive side the strange yellow orb in the sky did provide a good deal of illumination and pleasant warmth and it may be of interest to the members that there was an abundance of "swimmy" things which appeared quite keen to leave their aquatic abode

Thats not quite correct. We discovered the fact that as we havent been fishing for some considerable time our finely tuned bodies have lost a little of their edge and the day was rather tiring.

No I certainly didnt. Probably had 40lb of nearly all Ide in about 4 hours fishing. Given there was no pressure on the fish that would equate to a match day 20lb my normal return on here. :(
Meanwhile Mr Coyote had a few several a number of OK Lots of carp from 2 pegs away to more than double my weight.
I hate Monk Lakes.
