hammo trust me Ive tried to run matches on the river ,the teams that are fishing this match didn't want to fish the natural river because of the walks
these anglers that only fish natural venue [which sutton is] where have they been !!they certainly haven't fished our waters we have not had one booking this year on said section ???? brian hasn't had any for the osiers .have been and looked that these sections this year

i am talking about all three venues being used not just sutton or the natural you takes your choice thus no one can moan if you have a long walk and catch nowt on the natural that was your choice.these anglers that prefere the natural do not want to fish sutton or canal so you are losing these anglers of your matches that is wot iam trying to get across in this day and age you need to cater for all types of anglers if you want bigger matches. some anglers cant compete on the fairer sections as sutton but can win the odd match on the natural otherwise all these anglers are going to the club scene and lost for ever.only the beter and more dedicated anglers want the fairer venues and there is less of theses every year due to money work commitments or kids come on give the average angler a chance these are the anglers that used to make these big matches up you pros still win most of them but not all thats the difference

the club seen is growing we have had clubs booking the canal all season, and i know brian has had booking all the way through the season on sutton as i only had three dates to put these matches on .that tells you where anglers are going its a fact hammo and all i have done is mixed the both
this weekend will see 30+ on the canal with individuals that have booked on and 25+ on sutton the average angler has taken there fair share of the money thats for sure
take a look at the poll not one vote for the sort of match you are talking about so where are these anglers going to come from ??????

i think this format should be seriously looked at in the coming seasons
or all the winter leagues need a face lift
team fishing is now at a rock bottom !!! forget sponsorship for teams its all going down the individual line
that will have its own problems in the future where anglers will not want to compete against these anglers
to bring team fishing back to any sort of level we need to stop all this ,we're not fishing a river we're not fishing against them on commercials and the same with canals
so why don't we try mixing the venues in each region for the sake of team fishing everyone should give this a try
a few years ago i organised a summer league 2 river 2canal 2lake and 2 commercial it was a great league until individual started picking out money matches before the league the commercial anglers found every excuse to get back on there own patch
proper team anglers stick with what ever the competition throws at them
choices and decisions have to be made before committing to team fishing
unfortunately our last round of the winter league had to be canceled and a quickly rearranged date had to be made
:-/which is the 9th dec
again was this right to rearrange the round as i hear one team now can't make it and two or three teams are short
some of the waters are booked with other matches this on top of muddy walks parking problems will undoubtedly take team fishing another step backwards and how many more steps are left before the ladder snaps

>:(are more and more anglers returning to the canal scene is it a winter fad or is it because the fishing has improved totally over the last few years
the Burton league 60 anglers
the pairs league 70 angler [there was 50 on it before the semi final was announced
erewash Saturday league 52 anglers
is the future bright for these sorts of competitions
or is it because we are all getting older
Quorn angling have quite a bit of canal through from barrow to the other-side of loughborough and the same goes for the river
unfortunately its parking as with the canal [staples have just stopped the parking on a Sunday why because the management has changed
]
it looks as if the field we park in on the brinks has been sold so again we have to go through all the rigmarole yet we hardly use this field again on the deeps that too looks to be changing hands its all pointing in the wrong direction once again plus these people don't want to talk to you they are just not interested anymore
has anyone any good ideas or any sort of help as we can't pay fortunes out just for parking
is this something we should take up with the Angling trust
