Sad news I am afraid  :'(  We were beaten 13 points to 11  :( We tried our best though, and everyone is in favour of having another crack next year. The scoring was done on 8 x 2 man sections, with 2 points for a win and 1 point for second. I was beaten by 4 oz by my "opponent", which is a bit of a sickener. One more small skimmer would have made it a tie  :-/  I am pretty sure if that had been the case we would have won on weight.
A bit of success on the individual front though. Mark O won with 13llb 12oz and Nick Van Hoek was 3rd with 13lb 2oz.
On behalf of the rest of the Cashmores crew, I would like to Thank Big Baz for taking up the mantle of organising practice sessions, and the running of the team   Image

MrV - after a 'devasting' weekend you experienced I thought this may make you feel a tad better.

I know one of Beaufort21 anglers who works at our offices. had an exchange of mails with him this morning in which he writes..........

[TK I was not there I had another match at Tunnel Barn, which fished harder, dry netted, that’s fishing!

Our team captain confirmed the result, and said it was not great fishing,

Just goes to show, it can be cruel on the cuts, but also cruel on fish filled commies too at this time of year......... but a damn sight cheaper  ;)
