Don't forget your breakers lads........The Chockie Munster's cut at Beechdale had got some ice on it as I passed over it this morning.........ours will have a bit more on being as its 'out in the sticks'
Typical - ice free and relatively 'warm' last week......now the deep freeze again - the
strikes again

Don't know about the other fish, but the pike were coming out thick and fast on Sunday
Just changing tack a little, and talking of pike, I've been mailed two pictures of a couple of beauts that have put in an appearance on the Cashmores W&E cut last week..........one goes 21lb+, the other 18lb+
The captor holding the pike in the pictures is a forum member on here.........

Typical……….sign it went milder towards the back end of last week and the weather has turned on us with a vengeance for this Saturday
Just spoke to Cotti.
He tells me he went down the Extension on Saturday and fished what was peg 1 on the boats - we missed it out last match - he knew it was peg one cuss the bit of paper with MrV’s twig was still through it
After fishing his beloved bait
for 15 mins he had two small roach. He was chuffed thinking there might be a few more down there.
Then he had a skimmer, which he say’s weighed more than he weighed in last match (14oz). So he decided to put his net in.
This was followed by more bites from the silvers with him saying ‘I had a fantastic day. The only disappointment was I thought I’d got about 15lb when I finished, but when I pulled my net out it was only about 12lb’
‘I’d got caster and pinkie with me but I never put one on the hook’

It was a grueller in more ways than one for me
If anyone found a mobile phone, black Nokia, either in Yates after breakfast, or on the match length, its mine!! Last time I saw it was while eating my bacon buttie in Yates.
Went back to Yates after the match to see if it had been handed in with no luck, and walked the match length, again with no luck

Was going to ask if there was any ice.... question answered then.
The extension ALWAYS has ice, if there's even the slightest danger of it.
And as for Black Nokias ...mine disappeared on the Curley Wyrley last year.

Luck of the draw whether it's picked up by someone honest or not. Last week Rita and I found a wallet in Walsall town centre with £40 cash, credit & debit cards and drivers licence. The owner, an Indian or Pakistani, luckily had his name address and telephone numbers inside. We called both but couldn't contact him till the evening and he came to collect it. Next day his wife turned up with a bunch of flowers to say thank you to Rita.
I hate these scumbags who don't return found items, I know how upset I felt when I [mistakenly as it happens] thought I had lost my wallet.
Daughter Aimee once left her phone on a bus. A phone call to the bus depot confirmed that the phone had been handed to the driver. The guy on the phone said it was still with the driver and he would be passing the end of our street in 20 minutes and if we cared to wait at the bus stop he would return it, which we did. How's that for kindness and generosity.
