It was slow going for many of the members fishing todays Fleetman AC match on a cold boatyard but one of their members had a red letter day

Members fishing the last round of the
G T Bathroom Series
Boatyard Section Cannock Extension Canal (4 hr match)
were fearing the worse today as they were greated with cold rain and sleet at the draw.
However as it turned out the canal didn't fish too bad as the tale of the scales shows

With the close season looming on the Cannock Extension Canal I snook a few hours in today with me owd mate KOD.
There was a fair ripple on when we got there, but it got progressively worse as the day wore on making presentation difficult at times.
Caught on punch, caster and pinkie, got seen off once by something that went off like a steam train to finish with 55 fish from boat 3.
KOD don't count em but he did OK as well off boat 6

Just a reminder guys and gals, the Cannock Extension Canal close season is in force, hope to see you on the towpath again on 16th June

The canal reopened after its enforced close season and it was pleasing to hear one of our members had a few bites today

Just had a bit of feedback from one of our members who ventured down the southern end of the Extension
'Eyup boss the had good days fishin on cut saterday fished the bit on the lower part o extention just up from that house an bridge had 7 tench out on top 5 an lost 3 good net o rudd an roach over t stick ups . those bloody tench gave me runaround tha needs t get some propper rope in top kits fo them animals got t morra of work so hopfuly be oveer again' .
