Well, we thought it would be tough on MILF Day but as expected a few mares obliged for Dodge and he won by a fair few lengths with 14 conquests! Tony F selected a non-runner and again the stwards were called into action but the decision was to add two letters to his form guide, these were f.o. He still did enough to take second on 10 points though. Barow Bill also had the same selection and got the same reply and ended the day on 9 points. Bill Yards also had 9 points, 8 of them coming from Ma Filleule, incidentally another mare and of course one of Dodges certainties. Pedro's nap also came in but his pin went blunt and he completed the day on 7 points. Griffo started with the opening race winner but flattered to deceive adding a couple of singles for 5 points.
Not so easy today - tomorrow to go. Anyone going nap in the National, I ain't but it is an 8 pointer if it comes in!

Today Dodge 14
Tony F 10
Barrow Bill 9
Bill Yards 9
Pedro 7
Griffo 5.

The table is still close and stands at

Barrow Bill 28
Dodge 27
Tony F 26
Pedro 25
Bill Yards 25
Griffo 20

Best of look tomorrow Image

Talk about tense, - fever pitch was reached after the first two races as every one was locked together on the same amount of points, - no crappity smack!!! That all changed in race 3 as everyone chipped in but then it went tough again as only odd points were scored. Barrow Bill and Tony F deadheated on 6 points with Bill Yards 5, Griffo and Dodge 4 and Pedro 3, tough or what?
Overall Barrow Bill wins the trophy, incidentally it is sitting next to the Chair at Aintree partly full of Crabbies, with 34 points from Tony F two points behind. Dodge who only operates in 'lengths' or 'strokes' these days was another point behind on 31, - one ahead of Bill Yards on 30, Pedro on 28 and Griffo on 24. Anyway we had 16 winners on opening day and just 3 today but it was a good bit of fun and we can do it all again at the Derby meeting at Epsom, if you want?
Well done Barrow Bill Image Image Image
