A canal match without Woodhouse would be like Barry Thomas without his bum bag!
Lee, who is Mozzer going to eye up now when they need the call of nature?

I'm sure this will just be an extended vacation from the sport rather than a retirement matey!

I know how you feel Lee, I haven't been fishing for 3 years now. I too started from a very young age and started competing at 10 years old on club matches. I was bought up on Rivers, natural pools and canals. I have fished alongside the best of the best up and down the country and in the Nationals but since the rise of the man made fisheries it took the edge off it for me. Of course I enjoyed them but not so much and slowly but surely I lost the bug, more so since my dad passed away. I too miss the banter and still like to see what's been going on with the lads and have a chuckle to myself when I read the antics.
Fishing will always be there and I have kept all my tackle in case the bug returns with me as I'm sure it will one day but for now my love for being in the countryside lies with my new hobby of metal detecting and it's great to feel excited about pursuing your hobby at the weekend after working all week just like I did with fishing for all those years.
Roll on the weekend and all the best lee

Don't be a cock Woodhouse stay on the bank(and box) and ride the rough times
If you are really going to pack it all in I do believe the Midlands match circuit is going to miss you.

Chris, times aren't rough.
Last four matches in dams and locks I've framed twice and won section in another.the problem is not being able to have my kids on a weekend and being up early on a Sunday and having to work through Sunday night.
