No Kevin has got a Garbolino Gmax Power Carp and I have a G-MAX Power C1.
If I didnt already have 10 top kits from my Power Legion I would have got the Maver Elite but it seemed sensible to stick with Garbolino so the kits are interchangable.

I emailed Maver to find out the weight of the Elite Carp as it's not stated on the website. They replied...
The weight for the Elite Carp at 11.5m is 690grams and at 13m 965 grams. At 14.5m the weight is approximately 1160 grams.
125g heavier than my 401 @13m. I didn't even notice it. But noticed it was stiffer.

I had the chance to have a dabble with Si Dev's Elite carp at 13mtrs today at Monks.
I have to say that I was a little disappointed and not what I expected from a so called Elite pole.
Before I get slaughtered for this let me say that poles are a very personal thing in terms of balance etc.
The finish with the Sun Core and Anti-friction finish is superb and can't be faulted. The top kits however seemed very short (no more than 8ft) and quite thick, but this could be due to how far they had been cut back to fit the owners choice of elastics.
Stifness and strength seemed first rate, but to me it just didn't feel that well balanced, but as I said that's a very personal thing. However while it seemed to be a first rate pole for the 7-8 hundred pound price tag that it's currently selling for, I can't see any justification in a RRP of around £2000 that's quoted for it.
I'll be sticking with my 8 year old Super PowerLite for a while longer.

It is very ironic that my only section win and ton at Rolfs happened using the top kits telescoped....maybe it's a secret weapon
