I am a Wigston member and am interested in these matches.
I might not be able to make all the pairs series matches. Will subs be allowed?

Dan,
You can certainly fish all the matches as an individual and you can drop your worst result (5 out of 6 matches to count) on both an individual and pairs basis, so hopefully that will help.
With regards to subs for the pairs, I'll have a chat with the other committe members and get back to you. To me the most important thing is that we run something that people actually want to fish - nothing too serious, decent size match, bit of craic with a good pay-out etc.
Quite a bit of interest in the Pairs/Ind league already and I'll be putting someyhing in Leic Mercury and local tackle shops soon so that anglers can register.
Cheers
Nursey

Hi Adam, thanks for getting back to me.
I will put my name down for some of the matches.
I'm not a match fisherman by any stretch of the imagination. I was just thinking of trying some matches this winter to try and improve my all round fishing.....so not too serious suits me fine!
I was thinking of joining Wreake in order to enter some matches, so I'm glad that you are running some now and I don't have to spend another 26 quid.

These will be good matches for anybody thinking of having a go. Good chance of a really good days fishing if you draw on a few at Kilby, friendly atmosphere, well run matches and a good brekkie at the Choice Cafe. Adam - see you on the Fur & Feather on the 18th!

Hi Wayne,
We have met before. I thought you were the Wayne from Townsend fishing tackle - but thats another Wayne!
Thanks for the offer of some advice.
You are right that anyone can win if they get the right peg - I should know as I fluked the win in the Ivan Marks memorial match in March, mainly because I drew the basin.....
I will fish the fur and feather next week. And the match on Jan 8th. Then make a decision on the league depending on just how badly I go in the two one-offs!

I was on the peg between the two Steves who were first and second, I only managed 14oz.
That performance didn't help my search for a partner for the pairs league!
