Just spoken to John and he is a definate. Martin wants to come but cant confirm until he goes back to work on Monday.

OK Just got off the phone to Alders and confirmed 15 pegs for Oct 5th on the match lake.

Bacon rolls are available around 9am and the draw will be made at 09:30 fish 1030 to 1530.

Peg fees are £9 Pools £3. I will payout 1st and second in section of 5. One section will consist of venue regulars????? the other two Marsh lads plus one. Open draw and I will sort the sections out after the draw. I have taken the Marsh ethics into account as this is not about money.

You will need a minimum of 3 nets and spread your fish out.


Fishery only feed pellets are the only other main rule along with barbless hooks. You can fish any hook pellets. All nets including stink bags must be dipped before use at the top of the hill.

If anyone has a set of scales can they bring them.

I think thats all except enjoy yourself.

I would say a minimum of 3 bags

I will be there early and ask that some of the cars go down to unload and then return after the match. However there is a strict rule that there is only 2 cars at the drop off point at anyone time so people need to be patient.

Plus I thought you once said that Rayne was the daddy of all hills. You've seen nothing yet.

Keith just spoken to Martin, He said he's sorry he cant get the day off work, He's gutted.

Is there any truth in the rumour I've heard that someone got their Wednesdays mixed up and ended up having a crafty practice session as a result? Surely not.

Not me mate. I was working on wednesday. But it would not surprise me.

It seems that someone may have gone on the wrong day but stayed to fish it anyway. I understand the first thing he did the next day was to arrange to buy more keepnets for the match.

Yes I got the days muddled up , I had a great day fishing , fishing in number 2 peg, trying paste in the margins with the result of 50 carp 2 roach and i was taking it easy, it was taking me longer to put the paste on the hook then fishing .
Keith if there is any problem getting the paste please let me know .
If it's the same on wed you will need 5 nets as she said only 100lb per net(approx 20 fish).
