Trent Handsacre
DESCRIPTION
This short length (25 pegs) of upper Trent is noted for it’s Winter Roach fishing with pleasure catches exceeding 20lbs. Chub, Bream & the occasional Barbel are also to be caught. Generally shallow, the river here can become heavily weeded in Summer making fishing difficult.

Heres what it should say

fished a 20 peg club match on there last year, but it had been fished much more thro the summer so a lot more pegs ahd been used, think this year the pollution from last year has meant a lot of anglers have not bothered fishing there this year.(me included) it has just not looked right  Image

not sure but i dont think lea hall ac dont start having their matches on there until quite l8 in the year  Image

it is a peggy venue but arnt most rivers,

did pass comment on the baa description earlier on in this thread complete load of man balls in my opinion,

spoke to the guy in kamp angling @ armitage yesterday and he said it not fishing to bad usually for 2 or 3 days at a time then goes off for a bit  Image

it never will be and never has been a baggin stretch,20lb can be considered a massive weight, between 5 & 10lb a very good weight so i think it will certainley be a bit of a  Image, when are T.Ks matches any different for the majority of those taking part  Image Image Image Image

might wanna give em a nudge about cuttin the pegs out tk,like i said b4 they didnt bother for us last year after saying they would sort it,did hear that tony maj passed on the day to day things to somebody else Image

A big river fan here but having walked the stretch yesterday afternoon in my honest opinion there are possibly only 6 or 7 pegs that are both accessible and fishable  :(

Did that include the 7 pegs that were cleared out downstream on Saturday Image

Predicted pegging requirement for Sat.........

7 confirmed casualties

10 suspected casualties - but who knows, one or two may surprise me :-/

10 likely to turnout, plus
5 guests

So prob 18 pegs top line.......

I reckon there probably only be two 'short walk' pegs required this week.............

One of 'em being for me - with my crappity smacking knee, I can hardly walk at the mo Image

9am

However many sections of Lea Halls waters we need OBI -although I 'suspect' casualties I have to work on the assumption in the absence of any contact from the members that they will turn up

Meet on the parky up behind your peg bit :D

Yep I know..........

Pegging is always subjective.............I've had people come upto me in the past stating I cant fish my peg cuss its too weedy, it's too pacy, too shallow etc etc etc - and when I've gone and had a gander at their peg, I wished I'd have drawn it..........

In fact, two of my best weights/matches on the Trent that immediately spring to mind have come from other matches, not Cashmores, that when I've initially got to my peg I've scratched my head and thought 'How the crappity smack am I gunna get a line in to fish this?'

Where's there's weed, there's cover............and more likely to be fish holding spots

5 pegs, 15 or 105 pegs - might not make any difference if this carries on Image Even them golfers in whatever cup it is have just been 'called off'.......

Dont forget your squatt and pinkie just in case..... :D

Thought sod that…………..

Thought back to the 70’s…….

Got a dozen or so lobbies off the lawn and a bit of cheese from out of the fridge…….

It’s a lob tail down the edge, alternated with a bit of stinky stuff
