Mine broke in 5 places trying to get a foul hooked fish in. The fish was only about 4lb too 
I never hook owt bigger than 4 oz

Think I did TWO top kits on last years Thorpe Constantine match with Cashmores !!!! LOL
Reason was, it was an old pole, joints worn thin and the walls couldnt cope with my over enthusiastic rush to get 'em in during the last hour
Not big fish either.
Lucky i'd got loads of top kits with it.
Know to take care now.
BUT ...Simps... if thats a Maver power kit you trashed YOU MUST REALLY HAVE GIVEN IT SOME STICK !

It was mate. It was a foul hooked fish and I had tightened up my lakky due to fishing next to a bush

Mine was a Maver kit as well. In all fairness it was about 5 years old and I was attached to a fit 13lb'er hooked in the tail. Still got the fish though.
