Top info fellas  Image Image  how lucky are you dan   ;) 8-)

Also remember dan when feeding hemp on canals it will remain where you have fed it as all the boat traffic and canal tow WONTshift it  ;) so it will always be in your peg attracting roach ...... thats unless they have eaten it all   ;)  8-)

Theres loads of top top info for you on this thread, you and your team make the most of it mate and always remember to keep things dead simple  Image Image get into a rythm when catching small fish on light rigs on the squatt as you will be getting loads of bites and 4 hours soon passes by  ;)   Image   Image

Latest info is Willington is fishing very hard.A team from Sheffield-green shirts? were down last week and struggled. They fished down from the car park towards North staffs bridge.Very few gudgeon mainly roach as predicted close in and in the shallow water.Boat traffic is horrendous so keep a sense of humour!

According to my source the bushes here have been cut back recently and these held chub.A club match was won with 11lb odd again mainly chub. What i did hear which sounded odd was chub were showing through the bridge and i remember it as tin to tin so maybe with all the activity they have moved?

The water is controlled by Pride of Derby and they do not run open matches so the only matches are odd club jobbies.

You need to check the sections being used but with access in mind it could well be Willington-Findern-Stenson-Barrow roadside and possibly Lowes lane.

If i hear owt more will post on here for you Image

Thanks all, this is one word to describe my day......Brilliant.

I fished it exactly how you guys and colin told me to, but I forgot about big fish. I drew a crap section (E) and I had some very good anglers there. Nearly 80 anglers fished in total.
I started of fishing in the inside shelf with squat while I let the far shelf to settle on the feed. I had 5 small gudgeon and perch in about 40 mins. Then I had a look on the far shelf for small silvers on a no 2 laccy, but thats not what I got. The float dipped and my laccy poured out. I got the fish to the top kit and stood up with the pole in the air. In the bag, a lovely 1lb skimmer. Then I started having some tiny fish again. I put on a single red squat and the float screamed under and I had another big bream. This one was about 10-12oz. We were know over half way and I was only catching the odd tiny fish. 1 of the sections was on fire with big perch and chub coming out everywere.
After a few more small fish the whistle was blown and I had counted 18 silvers for about 5oz and 1lb 10oz of bream.
I weighed in 950grams (about 2lb in real money). I won the section with 2nd place being a fair way behind. I had to work so hard today as I couldn't get any bites on the same tactic or bait. I had to swith all the time, the people that worked hardere today got the better results. I had the only 2 half decent fish in that section. I was chuffed to bits with the section win and I took home maximum points. I also came 10th overal and I was 8oz away from winning! The team came 3rd out of 12. I took home 2 medals so was really pleased. 2lb 8oz won the match, all I needed was another bream!
Thanks a lot for your help, I would have got nowere if you guys hadden't helped me out.
Thanks alot to all members on smf that helped me out.
Dan
