bit drastic that m8,,

its the mix of ALL different boards on here that make it what it is, the best fishing forum on the web,

brill mix of anglers at all levels with the one thing missing that spoils other sites,

no mardy arsed know alls just spoiling for a fight cos they disagree with summat

and no reports god forbid

More I think about it though OBI is that I just cant see the point of it if the 'actual' club members dont contribute to it 


From a personal viewpoint I might as well just write a personal blog for future keepsakes 


Yep there's some brill characters on these forums - fortunately they've got the rest of the sections to 'go at'


If I suddenly get trigger happy and press the mods delete button on this section, dare say some will say I've chucked my dummy out of the pram, so I might as well say it now, before they do.......

i did put it's only for a laugh on my posting's,i can,t see how it's offended anybody

it's more than likely you that's offended anyone

i ain't bothered if you or simps remove it.it will save me approx 2-3hrs after every match typing and uploading pic's

i don't know wether to bother tomorrow now

Obviously daint wanna hear that - but I've stopped spoon feeding people over the last year or so - no longer chase people up, no longer cajole people to do owt nowadays    - if they don't wanna do something so what....

Cant remember the last time I kicked a ball with my dickie knee anyway

Dug my shin pads out as well - sure I can hobble to one of those low draw pegs I'm gunna 'claim' next match

Silence is still deafening though from the 'members' - apart from posts by OBI and MrV - where's evey others one's input into the match reports (or owt else for that matter)...........index finger still hovering over the delete button........

They're so important the reports.

..and the chat.

For a longer distance member like me, ok, ex member , its a way to keep in touch.

There's many a club up and down the land where members dont meet that often except for the 6,8 12 or whatever outings a year.

It can take a long while to get to know people that way, especially if you dont fish all the matches and especially due to the nature of fishing, being an individual activity.

These forums are a lifeblood !

Well Sprucey - as expected - the silence from the non contributing posting fraternity of our membership has been DEAFENING

But………….

As well as the few supporting comments from OBI and Mark V, what I’ve found astounding over the last few days is the support that exists out there for the continuation of Cashmores section on here.

I just never envisaged or definately didnt appreciate how many guests visit the site to read of our exploits tales of woe and how much they enjoy reading about them.

I’m amazed to say the least.

As well as pms from site members not associated with our club, believe it or not, I’ve actually received emails from guests to the site ‘who look in’ and also actually have had people who I never suspected of visiting Simple Match Fishing ‘come up to me’ telling me how much they enjoy it.

Surprising, as I thought our reports would only really be of interest predominantly to ‘us’ and some of the ‘active’ site members.

So thanks to all of you ‘out there’ for your words of encouragement if you clock this post as well - cheers it’s much appreciated you took the time, trouble and effort to pen your feelings or catch up with me.


So there we go, finger off the button, hopefully onwards and upwards.


Mind, now learning of the audience that there is out there and with the absence of our chief scribe, I now feel a bit of ‘pressure’ to try and make the reports ‘entertaining’, So I’m relying on you to continue to capture those pictures and add your inimitable one liners and quips.

I've just read through the whole of this thread  and was more than a little alarmed to read that you were thinking of pressing the BIG RED BUTTON 

The lack of participation by members in their relevant sections is something I've voiced my concerns about from time to time  :(.
I have to say that I love reading the Cashmores reports and the stories of the 

If nothing else it makes me appreciate just how good we have it down here, though it could just be down to sheer blinding skill and ability on our part. 

Like you I've been told just how much others unconnected with Marsh like to read the reports and take a look at the photos which is why I post a report on here as well as my blog. Keep up the good work fella, it is appreciated.
