Simple Match Fishing Forum

We fished a league match years ago on the Staffs Worcs at Stafford when the ice was 10 inches thick at Milford, a bit less on other sections.
In some respects it was easier as you could only do a hole and not a channel. We actually put our boxes on the ice, next to the bank to fish and made a small hole for a keepnet.
A firemans axe or similar was the best tool for the job.
It didn't fish very well but we did get it fished and if I remember right everyone turned up, 100 or so.
