All the points put across re worm / Joker have been fantasticly discussed
well intresting,
and at the end of the day we are Match anglers and what ever baits we decide to use on the day we do so because we have varying strengths and preferences. As long as we all continue to enjoy what we are trying to achieve .....I.E catch as many fish as we possible can,
and continue to enjoy [/competing against our
friends and all the
teams we meet,........
for as long as we possible can.

I've had enough of ice bergs and boats this weekend Jon...... Roll on next sunday, i'm sure we wont see any on the walsall!
An unusual thing happened to me today at rugeley.... I drew my usual end peg an was relieved to find that my bridge hole peg was free of ice
However by the time i'd got my pole out of my bag and set my legs on my box the canal had got a layer of ice on it
I spent a good 30 mins before the all in shifting all the cat ice so i could fish, this continued during the match right up until 12 o'clock when we had a boat go through and smash the now 1/4 inch thick ice in to ice bergs!
My peg never seen any sun all day. coldest day i've ever fished in.... ended up with 4lb for 3rd.. Scratchard won wit 10lb off the stump peg all caster fish.

Good result Saturday
,i honestly didn't expect to see a boat.I asked the first one if they could stay in the middle to lessen the damage,they completely ignored me and ploughed down the far side sending the bigger sheets of ice across mine and everybody else's swims

Even Tunnel Barn was pretty dire for most yesterday :( Unusual for me but I had an early bath...

Went to Rugely yesterday drew crap, didn't even get my kit out of car. Went pleasure fishing on a flier at oxley, after hour and half never had a bite so went and watched match on post office(worm banned) ok there were a few hard bits but what a great match,
1st p turner 9lb of squatt roach
2nd f cheetham 7lb 6oz of bread and hemp roach
3rd d williams 6lb 3 of roach and another 3 or 4 5lb weights
