And me - I'm getting too many whuppings at the mo

Just whats happend to peg 16 - ok I lost two decent fish off it the match before, but along with KOD who only had two small rub a dubs for his 14oz just gone, there dont appear to be any fish on the peg this winter, despite my 6lb last year, followed by MrV's 11lb

Have all those silvers gone into the main pool Image

it seems that way, the last 2 matches have shown only a few roach, no perch, and no skimmers. Even the gudgeon are conspicuous by their absence.

Such a shame it used to be a superb venue, yes there are plenty of hard fighting chub still in there and can be fun of the first few brambles pegs but it appears lots of fish have potentially been moved and this doesnt make it the well rounded venue it once was.

The biggest mistake there was putting carp in, my opinion on that wont change

No excuses but I did lose a lot of time with tangled rigs.

Thanks to all for the help and offers of help a had. Much appreciated.

Catching soon after the off. Mainly small stuff 1" roach my speciality!!

Hooked 2 better fish about 1lb each both came off the hook. 1 about a metre out - the other from the far tree where I was being plagued by gudgeon.

Thanks for the clip Si I was able to show Dodge Brambles what It's like. Image

I was looking at the pictures from when Mr V did that big weight from peg 2. The brambles have grown a lot since then....

Image

They almost look pruned. Did anyone used to cut them back last year ?

Are you refering to across Simps Image

If so, and I was a betting man, I'd have 50 sovs on a 'NO'

The inside brambles get a chop/hack from the anglers - a couple of trees have been 'lopped' down there this year, but can't see anyove getting a boat out and doing a bit of pruning across :-/
