TK it depends if you are on a good section or not and if your after an individual win or just a good team weight.
I was drawn on a hard section last year and ended up fishing a top 2/3 flicking caster at it for 8 1/2lb of roach crucian and odd small carp. Dont sound a lot but apart from one of the local guests ( 17lb) I was top weight from my area. Most of those fishing long were baiting either meat or caster feeding caster heavy.

tk i caught my smallest ever perch from there. It was that small i had to keep it in a bait tube as i was worried incase it swam out of the holes in my keep net

That's because you fish to fine for them Si, stop using namby panby Red Hydro and lumps of paste and get on the Braid, trebles and deadbaits.

Coincidentally yes Si - this morning.
I was aware of the capability to do decent bags of silvers on there in the early 2000's from other venue reports I read several years ago.........but of course venues change, fish grow on etc etc etc
