With the 'tax exiles' back in circulation extra rolls of Andrex (we only use the best) have been shipped in to a few Midlunds houses. Dodge has even ordered an up to date paper to get the 'runners' as most think his selections yesterday came from a three day 'dressage' event in Tenerife.

Tip. If everyone selects the same horse, change it quick, - remember Hargam yesterday :rofl

:roflThe motley crew of Stewards were called into play today. A couple of tipsters napped Minella Rocco :rofl :rofl :rofl
which was a non-runner. The Stewards were well and truly oiled at the time but did decide the two naps should be transferred to the last race. The only problem was the bar was shutting so nobody knew a thing about it (except the Stewards of course) so nil points was the only decision that was fair, especially it made no difference overall Image Image

The days result was a success for the Bills with Barrow Bill winning the day on 15 points, Bill Yards 13, Tony F (told you it made no difference) 12 :rofl Dodge 9, Daylewlia 8 and Big Cup AWOL 5.

The league is

Tony F 24
Barrow Bill 22
Bill Yards 22
Dodge 11
Daylewlia 10
Big Cup AWOL 5

Looks like a few National naps tomorrow (10 points for napped winner).

Pretty well all to play for but be careful of the Stewards tomorrow; they are hard at it as we speak :cheerleader

Just noticed I nearly had a through the card each-way jobbie.
It fell down in the first when my selection was one place out (fifth).
There was a 20/1 and a 25/1 in there >:(

Well what a day of controversy.
After four races all bets were suspended as the Stewards sat to discuss the sudden change in form of Daylewlia. The Stewards, the most honest and sporting gathering of former sports starts ever seen together were discussing whether there had be an unheard of sort of 'drugs scandal'. The verdict was touch and go and the punter was allowed to continue after putting salt on his chips was not deemed illegal. It was a close decision though and if left for another two pints the verdict could have easily gone the other way. :surprise

Anyway Daylewlia hit back with a last race winner and by this time all the Stewards were so pi$$ed even Ken Dodd and Lester Piggot bought a round in.
Daylewlia won the day with 14 points from Aintree specialist Tony F 12, Big Cup AWOL 10, Dodge 9 leaving the two Bills in the last two places this time, Bill Yards on 6 and Barrow Bill on 5.
Bill Yards was not too amused when his nap Al Co fell somewhere between the first and second fence in the National.

Anyway not for the first time Tony F is crowned Top Tipster; this time he wins the a book called, 'Racing's Book of Non Runners' which he can keep! Tony was actually a distance ahead on 36 points from Bill Yards 28, Barrow Bill 27, Daylewlia 24, Dodge 20 and Big Cup AWOL 15.

Thanks for the 'fun' guys and well done Tony F, although I have rechristened him Tony NR, the Stewards all send their regards.
Ascot week the next one?

:rofl :rofl :rofl

Top one again Tony Keeling :thumsup :thumsup quality banter over the 3 days :thumsup :rofl :rofl think Daylewlia cried it home today :rofl :rofl hope he had a few bob on :cheers :cheers :joy :joy

crappity smack dire 3 days for me . I deserted Mullins after 2 crappity smack days of mediocrity then one his horses yellow stream the first race today :surprise :shifty :D :rofl :rofl I did manage 10/1 and 5/1 winners on the day so would have been well up if I had a bet but I crappity smack it off instead of just having a decent bet on Balthazar King in the National who had a terrible fall at the canal turn , it looked like his injuries were fatal for a long while but thank goodness with the fantastic work of the Aintree vets on course they saved his life ....... great news !

Well done again Mr Foster :thumsup :thumsup :tiphat

Went for a change of tactics today: 1) thought I'd choose an os with 4 legs and not one straight off Blackpool beach and 2) form and guide studying went out the window.

didn't have a bet today because of my poor efforts previously, thought I'd save my money and take the mrs out tonight, maybe if I did bet we could have had steak insted of a burger.

Thanks Bill for sorting everything out, roll on Ascot, where technically it should be easier as there are no fences ??
