what did you catch bill

I had 4lb 8oz Joff; it was really a 2 lb peg so it was a mediocre effort. Worth a Mars Bar though.

Well done Dodge, class shines Image

I will agree with that Tony, brilliant performance from that area. Image Shame the lad in between us sneaked a couple of chub in.

We all know a lot of sections have had too much stick and the National will possibly not fish quite as well as we hoped. One of the ideas behind using three canals was too spread out the 'last minute' massacre some of the sections get.
I have nowt at all against anyone fishing it as per rules of the competition, (as long as they have the appropriate card) but why do some insist in hurling vast amounts of bait in the cut after they have finished. For all we know this has happened day after day on some pegs. This to me, is far worse than constant pressure on a cut.

Couldn't agree more. Im ok with a handful of bait chucked in afterwards but someone not a million miles from my peg chucked in more like 5 pints after the match on Sunday! >:(

But I must say the guys in the farm down Grub Street were a credit. Dead friendly, kindly helped us all back our cars into their field so it didnt interfere with their tractors/tankers etc. Whoever sorted that out needs a big pat on the back Imageas not many farmers would be so cooperative.

Those crappity smack William the Conquerer horse flies weren't so friendly though! Image

I know a few will be about on Friday evening looking where the pegs are.

Bear in mind that some is also being pegged on Saturday morning early but if you see anybody crappity smack about (kicking 'em in or nicking them) with the pegs give me a call please or ring the local p.c. and explain the situation.
