Having just paid our C&RT lease on the canal, it is sad to report that on a serious note, one of our members reports that over the last two weekends he has been approached by an individual posing as a bogus bailiff trying to sell him a day ticket costing £3.
This bogus person is male in his 40s about 6ft 2ins tall. He is big build, heavily tattooed and has an Irish accent and wears black bum bag around his waist.
The individual has no association whatsoever with CASHMORES MG – DONOT give him any monies if he approaches you.
Day tickets (£1) are available either from me (tel 07989700638) or our secretary Dave Meredith (01922 413925) To be honest, since we have held the fishing rights to this section of canal from 2008, I have sold very few day tickets as most anglers elect to purchase a season ticket which only costs £5 for the year.
