it looks all cramped and cluttered, the flashing light and some of the text is over the topic name . I much preferred the old one it was more spacious and more friendly to look at . The colour is cold and not very inviting :(

It should look like this. The problem you described happened to me too because it was using cached files....

I had to upgrade sorry. Got to move with the times for security and spam issues.
As for the look of the forum. I will try to get the other templates working for you (the gold one) but I don't think it looks cold and uninviting. Looks crisp and fresh, just my opinion of course

I am viewing on my phone (android using Chrome) and everything looks fine.

I have made the images smaller so they don't spill across the text.

What resolution are you running at Si  ?
I have made them smaller and they dont over lap on my phone screen which is 5 inches 
To recreate the overlapping issue I have to reduce why screen width to silly levels.
The screen shot is the full width of my screen and you can see how much I have to reduce it by to get the pictures to overlap.

Updated the 'Latest Active Threads' display.
It's above the calendar at the bottom of the forum.
Its not the same as the old one though. I would prefer the old so we shall see.

We have a nasty spider or robot sucking the bandwidth from the site.

Updated the template to latest version.
The board images are back to their original size now and do not overflow onto board description when the window is minimized.

Will be updating the rest of the forum later.

This stops the forum looking like this for some users... (click for bigger)

Updated all files to latest version of the forum Software.
There is a new way for the Category images to be stored. Will update them soon.

Added a Tab for 'Unread Topics' so you can see all new posts since you was last online.

Also Added a tab for 'Who is where' for the nosey among you

Added 'Users Today' back on the forum.
So you can see who has been on the forum today.

Made the avatar pictures a bit bigger So they can be seen easier.
Same in the member list.
