Hi Me
The Cashmores permits for the W & E are already 'out' - they run from June 16th each year.
If you mean the Harrisons permits for the Cannock Extension for 2014, they are now available

If davey_013 reads this I have replied to your email concerning permits but for some strange reason (as I was only replying to it) received a postmaster failure notice. Can you try mailing me again
Thanks
TK

Cotti the Caster fished the common today by the bridge on the junction with the Extension - when I popped down he was having 'one a chuck'.
Twas a tad breezy to say the least and after 20 mins I decided to head back home for the comfort of the fireplace. Spoke to him just, he reckoned he'd finished with about 14lb which included a tinca but didn't include two 'proper' bremes that he admitted he'd lost at the net.....

He certainly did......had about 5lb of silvers including a few nice Rudd. Caster and squatt did the damage. Canal had a nice colour. The cabbages are starting to grow up now, could just make them out in the margins.
Saw a couple of Pike, a large female being escorted by a smaller male swim under my feet towards the stick ups by Wood Lane bridge. As I pushed my trolley back later they were in the reeds but shot out when I got to them. Presume spawning is about to happen. More little baby Esox on the way for Mick E to catch next winter

probably because you go with no expectations or any pressure so you just go with the flow and fish better
wood lane end or common end
to the left of wood lane bridge matey..about 5 or 6 pegs in...was going to go on the common but that gentle breeze was blowing a hooley on the common

Fished about 60 yards to the left of Wood Lane yesterday with Heinzer - started on punch (short), had a few small roach, but slow.
Slipped a pinkie on (didn't feed any) and started to catch lots of oz rudd. Bored with them, I started flicking a few caster on that line, after a while had better fish (2 - 4oz) on the caster, followed by a bream about 3lb then later a tinca, again about 3 - 4lb (took me about 15 mins to land on light line, light elastic and fine wire hook on my punch rig) Had quite a few perch - 4 to 8oz.
I was idle and stopped on that short 5 mtr line most of the time, whilst pulting a few pinkies across. Last 20 mins I went over and a shoal of small 2oz skimmers were queuing up for it - one a chuck until my last fish, a stripey of about 12oz. all in all, not a bad day (even tho I was 'idle')

This guy was literally having one a chuck today - tincas to 5lb+ and bremes to 4lb, but this beastie gave him the slip after a short battle.......

Plenty of bites today - in just under 4 hrs had exactly 100 fish incl a couple of tincas (,,another one snagged me up,) perch to lb, Rudd to 8 oz and loads of small roach, Rudd and bottletops with a few hand sized UN's.
Heinzer had 69 incl a tinca, a roach about lb and also lost another tinca.
Not a bad few hours down the cut
