I'd fancy the 3rd or 4th peg to the right of the access, this side of the hump:

Think i am in the middle of the worst run ive probably ever had this winter on the b/joker circuit, i seem to be drawing the worst areas and finding the worst of the conditions most weeks and cant catch crappity smack all !!! :'( ::) ;)
Heres how my match went on the Fred Latham..... i only caught 1 perch but the day was an eye opener and turned into an enjoyable one. I drew peg 167 which is a decent area and i was very confident of catching a few, as i walked under the main road bridge and into the teeth of a very strong easterly wind with a wind chill of probably around minus 10 my heart sank. The other side of the bridge where i had come from was a different story flat calm and heaving with roach being chased by lots of pike. Half an hour into the match i knew where i had drawn was a lost cause and a number of top anglers had already packed up, a quick phone call by sladey off the next peg to me to lee to ask if it was ok to do a spot of walking due to the conditions and that was me off for a stroll ;). I never bankwalk as i feel it is discourtious to other anglers and i feel it spooks fish especially roach and skimmers .......... but just on this occasion i am glad i did. As i walked back under the road bridge i can honestly say i dont think i have seen so many roach shoaled together on any stretch of canal before, the bitter easterly wind and pike (i think) had pushed the fish into a relatively short stretch of canal, so with flask i parked meself on a hump bridge out of the way near my team mate Matty Forster, Matty was catching well and i could also see Taypot bagging and further in the distance Diddy (when he returned from a walk lol ) . I think i spent the most enjoyable hour or so watching these 3 anglers as i have had for a while and learnt quite a bit in doing so ........ it was absolute quality

dodge, i was at the other end of the length on 84A with billo on 85. we were either side of the main road bridge and i must admit afterwards to feeling sorry for all the anglers in the middle of the stretch who could hardly get a bite. to the match, i started on the punch and had a few skerrits right away then it died so i switched to joker for the rest of the match and ended up with 152 fish for 4-1-8. billo had 5-11-0. i was amazed that we ended up 3rd and 4th in the match with such low weights for this canal. it just shows how bloody hard it had been for most of the anglers.
cheer up mate. you will come through this bad run, we all go through 'em
