Ultimate bloodworm float???

Going to have a crack at some worm and joker
fishing this winter, having to travel a bit as its mainly banned
around here...
Hense my question... Is there an ultimate bloodworm float,
and not the one that Barnsley blacks have to use.. lol

Is there a turn to float for say 3-4ft on a canal..??

Personally like the ultimate 1s for for S&K Canal.
n 5s for likes of selby n chesterfield canal.

On the other hand my mate prefers Colmic Jolleys.
end of day use what ever float your're able to read

I assume you fish bread punch on the Boston drains? The same style of floats will be fine for bloodworm fishing

Dufils are very good, so are desques but not sure of the patterns.

pinks , bloods cheap enough to but i like the greenies and diamonds for punch fishing very stable floats in a wind or if its quite deep

Sensas brascia spelling could be wrong but its something like.there awsome pal grey and black in colour .10 up to 1 grm or there abouts great shape wire steam and bristle iv painted my bristle up and doped the float.not find many better and unlike dufiles they take more or less the same shot.good luck mate.p.s. these are what I use for my shallow canal fishing depth and flow will mean diffrent floats so there isn't an ultimate allround float in my eyes.

There's 4 of us heading to the Trent and Mersey
For a winter league, the other 3 have done plenty
B&J before but I haven't..
They've all got different ideas on floats etc
Hense the reasoning behind my question...lol

you say 3 who have different ideas you could get the top fifty b/j anglers together pal and they would agree and disagree on most things it's what you feel is right to where you fish how you feed what you want to catch loads off different factors thats what makes fishing such a hard game to master,when you have the floats your going to use you will want to no how to feed and thats a different can of worms that your mates will have different thoughts on but good luck pal and enjoy.

Funny that Scotty, as thats exactly what ive found..
Im a kinda OCD type of bloke, ive read as much as possible into BJ but still cant come up with a true answer..
Feed joker neat/leam/groundbait/mole...
Everyone seems to have a different idea..
When to top up ... well i aint even going there!! when the bloke next to me does then i will also!! lol lol..

On the surface of it all it appears to be an easy method of fishing... So long as YOU have confidence in what your doing..

I use Richard Lattimer fine squatt floats for probably 90% of my canal fishing, with Punch, pinkie squatt, bloodworm or joker, its just caster, and chopped Worm fishing that gets me reaching for a different float. I find by using the same float for all baits I can read them well. Richard makes floats for me with 0.8mm fibre bristle's which is sensitive enough for bloodworm fishing and importantly is very visible. (His 'normal' squatt floats have 1mm painted plastic tips) Richard will make them for you if you wanted but he has a 2-4 week turn around between order and delivery as each float is made to order. If you want something a bit quicker, the Fox match MP6 is a similar shaped float with a fibre bristle. Failing that the only other float I use is a Garbolino DS16 which is a more dumpy float, again with a fibre bristle and I generally use them in the shallow water right across the canal in the 4x8 and 4x10 sizes,but they can be used all over the canal in the bigger sizes, they do them up to 4x16

I use same as Chavey mentions, MP6; mind you I don't fish bloodworm nowadays; no need for it on the cuts round here.

Thats the original squatt floats with the 1mm plastic tips Joff, Mine are the same shape, they just have a different bristle, I love um!

correct
any float can be dotted down but feeding is the key to this bait keep it simple
ive taken time out to sit behind the best ,you can read all you like but watching the experts and seeing how simple it is is key

This is going back a bit in time but something I never forgot.

I had seen bloodworm win quite a few matches as it was a new bait. Trying to get info on was almost impossible as it was a closely guarded secret!

I drew next to a little fella from opp north at Soudley and he framed using b & J. He told me all about it and he always said the bottom line was KEEP IT SIMPLE.

I don't use it now prefer to keep experimenting with all sorts of bread mixes.
Some of the stuff I see lying on the banks after matches I wouldn't p1ss in it but everyone to their own
