3rd round ALAN GETS IT WRIGHT
ALAN GETS IT WRIGHT
often the 3rd round is the make or break of the winter league as its the half way mark, this year is different as the results are on accumulative points over all making every point throughout the series count .with cold weather and autumn leafs falling this round would be a real tester for the 70 anglers taking part ,from barrow to kegworth sections of the river soar were used for this competition .Alan wright of Long Eaton Fed had drawn a fancied peg on the osier beds and found small chub dace and roach all feeding well to the stick float and pole , maggots being the best bait Alan end the day with 10kg 600g and a easy win 2nd Paul pettener QuornAS fished 5 metres to hand for roach and perch for a total of 5kg600g in 3rd place Mark perkins of Matrix Dynamite Trentmen again rob found a few chub feeding for a total of 5kg380g 4th Steve gardener Wigston AS also found the roach feeding well on caster and finished with a weight of 5kg250g .
On the team front it was a closely fort battle for top spot with Leicester sensas coming back from a poor draw to take joint first place with Long Eaton fed on 31 points with all the other teams very close on there heels with one hour to go Leicester had four anglers at the bottom of there sections but with a good last half hour managed to turn the results around and probably there best performance of the series so far

Yeah 1017 points is going to take some catching, can you sit the next 3 out joff? At least then it doesn't look so bad
