I was never fortunate enough to meet Bill Bartles but do believ I have a book or two of his.
Fantastic people and era then and never to be replaced.
I was fortuante enough though to work with and meet Tag Barnes.
I believe a great friend of Bill's and sililar outlook.
I do have for sure his books as well.
I went round Tag's house once..he lived in that great Mecca of angling..Sheffield
Working for PDQ...?????as a rep we had some great times
and an honour to have been a colleague.

Do you all remember...tackle firm PDQ...?

Pretty Darn Quick that reply TK.

I was a rep and Trevor Pegley with His lovely wife Gill Pegley and sons ran the company.
Based in or near Walton On thames I still have a large collection of their product catalogues..with some very interesting content in there.
I also believe they were the first in the country to have the Shimano brand..but not so much on the tackle side.
Greaty days.

Oh yes I think....QUALITY.

PDQ , Pegley Davis Quality. was the first tackle brand I knew of as it was stocked in the little DIY shop in my village as a boy. Did they supply the 'Denton' brand of floats from the same era?
