Had one of those green roll up canvas holdalls. Think might have been Efgeeco.
Also one of the green canvas bags. Still in the garage with some old tools in and a few holes.

It was 1971, - I fished that National.
The Saturday before that National our team Izaak Walton (Stafford) AA went down the Severn as a few of us me included had never caught a barbel. There were loads on the bank as we got on at Quatford and walked seemingly miles to find a free bit of river. I plonked myself down just a few yards above where RobinHarris is sitting but to all intents and purposes I fished the same peg. I ran a wire stick float through with double caster and had 86 lb of barbel. They were all 1 - 2 lb. What might have been one week later but there you go.
