Hello Sarah,

I know exactly where you mean, it is Northwich Club's water. There may not be anybody that can help you too much on here but if they can so much the better. I have fished several matches up there but they were years ago!

What I would suggest you do is to make a note of all the questions you want to know answers for and ring a chap named Bob Meggs. Bob runs all the matches there and fishes them himself. Bob's number is 07981 964223. If it helps tell him that I (Tony Keeling) thought he may be able to help you.

It is canalised (hardly any flow) and most of the matches, I think, are currently won on the groundbait feeder with bream/skimmers to worm or maggot; Bob will tell you all that though.

Best of luck with it Sarah, it will be well worth asking him if roach are showing on the pole line.

Morrie88 is the man , give him a PM  Image Image

He is down in Bristol for a few days practicing on end pegs on a river down there !   Image  :D

As Bill has said Image skimmers and odd good bream on tip , chuck it just past the middle , sweet fishmeal g/b in feeder and small hooks and dont put any worm in your feed ;) Image . The 3 pegs below the blue bridge are very good but snaggy so have a chuck with a bomb to find the clear areas before clipping up if you draw there ;) Image. Very small roach on the pole line, pinkie over 4 balls of g/b if you get bored , it is very deep , around 12 ft @ 11m Image
