The results from Coors Open fishing match yesterday on the River Trent at Burton and Shardlow.



The river fished well with a dramatic result.



Dave Harrell (DH Angling) weighing in at 21lb 4oz with two barbel, one at 10lb 4oz and another at 8lb 12oz, backed up by small roach.  These were caught in Shardlow.

He was just beaten by Stu Palser weighing in 21lb 5oz of quality roach from our Andressey section in Burton.



1st – Stu Palser at Andressey section 21lb 5oz – roach on a stick float with maggots

2nd – Dave Harrell (DH Angling) at Shardlow section 21lb 4oz – two barbel on pellet feeder 8ml

3rd – Jeff Garrish (Matchbox) at Crown Meadow, Shardlow section 14lb 4oz with a few nice perch – caught on the stick float with maggots

4th – Terry Truman at Sherratts section 11lb 6oz – a mixed bag of roach and small chub and dace on stick and waggler with maggots



SECTIONS

Andressey A – Spig (Shakespeare) 6lb 6oz – roach and perch on stick with maggots

Andressey B – Matt Derry 8lb 12oz – roach and perch on stick with maggots

Sherratts A – John Moroz 6lb 14oz – one bream for 6lb caught on stick floats with maggots

Sherratts B – Ian Ward (Frenzee/ABC) 8lb – roach on waggler and stick

Shardlow A – S Millwood 7lb 5oz – roach on a stick float

Shardlow B – Steve Newns (KL Tackle) 6lb 4oz – roach on a stick float

Shardlow C – Clive Fletcher 6lb 7oz – roach on stick

Baileys A – Tony Moreton 5lb 14oz – stick, waggler and maggots

Baileys B – Brian Rigby (Shakespeare) 10lb – pole and stick with maggots



The river looks good leading up to the charity open match on 9th September for Macmillan nurses.
