The river fished well with a dramatic result.
Dave Harrell (DH Angling) weighing in at 21lb 4oz with two barbel, one at 10lb 4oz and another at 8lb 12oz, backed up by small roach. These were caught in Shardlow.
He was just beaten by Stu Palser weighing in 21lb 5oz of quality roach from our Andressey section in Burton.

3rd – Jeff Garrish (Matchbox) at Crown Meadow, Shardlow section 14lb 4oz with a few nice perch – caught on the stick float with maggots
4th – Terry Truman at Sherratts section 11lb 6oz – a mixed bag of roach and small chub and dace on stick and waggler with maggots

Baileys B – Brian Rigby (Shakespeare) 10lb – pole and stick with maggots
The river looks good leading up to the charity open match on 9th September for Macmillan nurses.
