Well apart from yours truly (plus a couple others) who bombed out big style yet once again on a carp venue, it looks like a few other places didn’t fish to their potential this weekend……….

I fished a match on a low profile carp pool by me on sunday. Dont tell anyone but I practised it 4 or 5 times recently. Strictly between you me and the 'tinternet ;)

Need to sharpen my act up as sick of getting a pasting on the carp puddles ... anyway I reckoned Id sussed it enough for our little club match, until I managed a final session on thursday and struggled for the first time

Then sunday came and it was worse . You'd think there was hardly anything in it. In practise i'd always done 10 or more proper carp plus bits. I managed one for third place and a three ouncer. One more and id have walked it.

It seems to have switched off. Like a lot of other places by the sound of it too. Makes you wonder if its weather related in some way. The moon ? The stars ? Or the hocus pocus ? Will we ever know.
