A good old 'southerner' at last.
Been in to see him at the shop Reading Angling Centre.
Stuart Yeomans.
I see his name in the match results alot and between him and his business partner Tony Tibble they appear to win alot of the RDAA matches.
No idea on the back ground to the catch.
Talk of bonus fish.
I fished the 'Throop open' sunday on beat 2.
perfect condition river but clear water and bright conditions.
Fished 11-4 and wag 'n mag approach.
.16 gama hooklength..B510 16 single mag.
First bite at 3.30 then second at 3.45.
finish at 4.
2 chub and 11.14 on pan..
won with 21lb and great day out.
is from a match on the leeds/liverpool called the hot brinks or brickyards where they used to catch loads of carp and at the time this was the biggest caught in a match :-/it used to be warm water

The accompanying text to the picture states ‘Postman Stuart Yeomans from Reading won the NFA’s Division Two Championship on the Great Ouse, helped by two good carp – including this 11lb 14oz specimen.’
This was in 1977 and he went on to weigh in 24lb 3 oz
