come the morning i sat in mcdonalds checking i'd brought everything and done everything then made my way to the boat pub at this stage it was only raining so i thought this would keep the k#obheads off the towpaths
as i entered the pub there stood lee wright and Jason scrivener both had long faces and just looking at the weather
:-/plus they wanted to pay there debt as if they draw rubbish they could go home 
the normal stuff you get from boy's living in a mans world 
the final round had 19 pairs so the draw was done there was plenty of ::) ::)
and plenty of 
the draws couldn't of been better matchedbut one draw set stuck out a mile and guess who had drawn them ::) ::)and no it wasn't bicko and steve
it happened to be lee on peg one at staples and jason on end peg on the boats 
well it was like giving candy to kids lee said something like bang bang bang on 
and everyone else thought its all over yet lee and jay were 20 points adrift could they turn over mr Godfrey and scotty scotty looked a bit shaken ,yet Godfrey had draw a flier himself and put Pete on a peg that had done well the match before so they left going bang bang bang on 
most of the chasing pack had had ups and downs Stan piecha and Aaron only needed single figures to hold on the last to draw rob wootton and tom pringle both looked a little shocked at there draw as did league leaders bicko had draw my peg from the previous round and Steve was on the boats could there be a big shock in store i had drawn 213 glebe street its had form but on arrival the wind and rain had started and the wind was freezing
the big question would the silverfish feed or not
while i was setting up i did think a G/B line might be worth it being end peg and then the rest of my rigs were based on chopped worm and casters
i was going to put a bread line in but though better of it when the wind started really blowing
to my left i had tom pringle then a spare peg and it was taff on 207
first time on the canal and taff had to draw it ;)i did say to taff if the silvers feed he could in for a good day i pointed him in the right direction and went back to finish setting up
well the day didn't get any better as the rain and wind lashed down all day
as it turned out my perch rigs had been the best option but most of my fish fell to caster on the hook
after watching taff land a pound perch i managed to pip him for the section taffs perch went 3lb 2oz and mine ended up 3lb8oz and that was with taff on the scales part 2 coming up
