As far as I know it's going up for sale in March. The bloke who owns it ( who lives in Hong Kong now I believe) bought it off a mate of Graham Barry.
I believe they want around 800K, but I wouldn't have thought it was worth that and that it would go for considerably less than that, especially when you consider Makins only sold for 800K.
:-/that's squashed that idea a club renting it we would love a still water
I was under the impression Christine, the lady who sells the day tickets owned it, with her husband. They bought it off a guy who lived in Measham who part owned a building firm in Leicester called Sowdens. Not sure if they're still going.
He, bought it off the coal board. The fishing club who leased it tried to buy it, but couldn't raise the money.
I think thats right, but could be "old" information.
Joff, I passed on your regards to Graham, including the bit about the filming for last of the summer wine.
I can't print the response as I would be in trouble with the moderators but I'm sure Graham will discuss it with you at some point in the future.

Very true that Joff cos there's no way it could generate enough revenue to make any sort of profit. It could only ever be a hobby for someone with silly money to burn.
I have heard that I think it's Cemex might have an interest cos they will lose some of there waters in the new High Speed Rail Link
