It certainly was Trypewriter - Joe took the first prize of £750 with a weight of 11 - 8 - 8. He was followed home by Jim Todd (Leicester AS) with 6 - 9 - 0 and Roy Marlow (Leicester) 5 - 1 - 4
The year was 1976 - was it around that time that I dispensed with strapping my keep net to the top of my wicker basket as I invested in a Brennan & Hickman ‘net bag’? It also 'doubled up' as a first ‘carryall’ as it also took my bait boxes as well.

How did we ever manage without Brennan & Hickman ?? I kitted myself out with the whole shooting match. Box, Holdall and Carryall (Without lid) Bought from Marks & Marlow no less.
I was basic but good stuff.

I think the main problem with their stuff was that it lasted too well! You don't need to buy replacements for stuff that is indestructible.

Jim gear lives in Stafford now I believe, he still trips out at patshull from time to time.
