Another session down the cut, started to get addicted now!

After having a crap session yesterday at Hawford Bridge and my mrs showing me up by catching her 5 to me 1..

Decided as planned to tootle off and have a early start.. Got there at 7ish.. and setup.. my bait today was 1.5pint of mixed maggots, chilli hemp and worms.

Setup my freshly tired rigs onto 2 top kits, size12 Elastic, .3 float, bulk shot + 1 dropper, size18 Kamasan hook..

My brother caught a tench from the first put in.. About 2lb.. by then i was just cupping in my bait

for the first hour i was catching steadily of little perch and then decided to up to a bigger worm to catch my self about a 1lb Perch

Biggest YET!

The bites just died out in the end and nothing was left to declare.. Brother had actually fell asleep haha!

But then next thing his elastic just tares out his pole again for another huge tench, fight was about 5minutes.. guesstimating a rough 6lb!

After that nothing else was caught - Will be returning again next week to see what else is to be caught!

He's always a pole man, its just that day he was being lazy haha! - and yeah lol great luck aswell, he had a 14 elastic in, I got 12 now, dunno hw ill fare with a big tench on

And yeah will post how I get on, I'm solo on saturday so if anyone fancies taggin along lemme know

Josh - you shouldnt have yoo many problems with a 12 lackie provided your tackle is balanced........

There's plenty of tincas landed on much less than that - sometimes the softer the lackie, the less they pull back

Might pop and see how you are getting on if I get chance - did pop along Sunday, but it was after 1pm and you'd gone by then

I started packing up @ 2pm, gary had walked past us just as we were emptying net, will probs get their and setup for 6 on sat try get a early few catches, got my breaad fined out already haha :d gonna try this slop method and take a pint of maggots see how I go
