Trouble with Chelski is that a lot of their players hasve reached 'a certain age' at the same time.
As much as it hurts me to say it, Chelsea were a dream team last year in the Premiership and no team in it this year is anywhere near the standard they set last year, including themselves.
If I remember right, perhaps Ian will confirm this, Taggert made the very same mistake many years ago and it led to wholesale change when they didn't quite do so well.
The big difference betweeen Taggert and todays managers is that he only made that mistake once, - many managers are still making it.
OK they are stopping loyal to the same players but the longer it goes on the more players have to come in. It could be a tough few years for Chelski.
crappity smack the Ruskis anyway.

bill chelski wernt that good last year. united lost the title at blackburn but thats football. this year they started like a train but alas old age caught up with them and injuries made it worse, specialy drogba,s malaria. they will still have some bearing on this years title. as for city well years ago i remember thinking when ian rush returned to liverpools double winning side they,ve too many players and there rythem will be affected cos he,s hard to leave out but the teams flying without him. the rest is history.
when city signed the donkey from germany i again thought its a great signing for the rest of the prem cos . a. he keeps out a player used to playing english football. b. it takes a while to get the pace of the prem and time is something you dont get after christmas. result tevez plays deeper as he had to at united with the same result, no effect on the game . the gooners are another thing altogether, i fear them most of all cos the team is built around 11 players and sometimes thats hard to beat over 15 games. plus like taggert his best players over short periods are now available giving wegner a chance to rest key players whilst still getting results.
the title is a long way from over any one of the 4 sides can win it given luck, and thats the one thing money cannot buy

Arsenal have 2 very very difficult games in the champions league against Barcelona ...... these games will make or break their season
Its Uniteds to lose but they have played far more home games than anyone else , their away form and record is less than average even though they havent lost a game yet (only 2wins)...... you cant win the title on just your home form

wise man once said dodger win your homes and draw your aways and you,ll win the league. he won 2 european cups with forest and titles with derby and forest. you need 80 points his method = 72 so you only need 4 away wins. arsenal going out of the euro cup is to there advantage as you might find next season. also all european games are hard when its knockout. united could do with losing at southampton
