Had a quick google and came up with this result - so sorry that rules out the 'no pole theory' CWH

I think it's called Minster Pool TK but I don't know what's "peculiar wise" about it

'Peculiarwise' there's nothing about the water, depth, method, species etc etc etc.........

But there might be a bit of a clue in the result title - Lichfield Festival Final

Do you have to make the sign of the cross when you catch a fish. Spetacles, Testicles, Watch & Wallet ?

think it is only ever used for the festival & maybe only the final...fishing aint allowed any other time

That's it CWH and OBI - used for the festival final on an annual basis only - no fishing at any other time.
