I well remember the Munich disaster too in 1958. Even as kids everyone was glued to their tellies and radios hoping for 'recovery' news on Duncan Edwards. I had the priviledge of watching him once but I can't even remeber what match it was.
I thought the programme on Bert Trautmann was also exceptionally good; this one was on 'Yesterday' a few weeks back.
There is obviously room for more of these type of 'This is Your Life' programmes within the football ranks. Personally I would love to see one on Stanley Matthews; there must be plenty of old news reels around to make this a real great view.
Players like Billy Wright and Johnny Haynes would make for fantastic nostalgia programmes.
It's got to be better than watching this Royal Wedding; mind you I'm looking forward to the second instalmenet, - the honeymoon
