hi 3RD ROUND OF THE SENSAS WINTER TEAMS OF FOUR
at last the canal has started to fish with the semi final only weeks away the third round turned into a fish catching match, with a combination of rising temperatures and cloudy Sky's fish fed throughout the match length.every 5 peg section was won with 4lb plus and double figures catches not making the main frame,after a slow start Simon preece of Hankat enjoyed a fantastic days fishing and ended the competition with the top weight of 26lb 12oz Simon said all his fish fell to Bloodworm and joker hook bait and around 10 metres out, his catch consisted of roach ,bream ,chub and perch in 2nd place Mark godfrey Shakespeare drawn out side the boat pub Mark put together a weight of 18lb 6oz again on B/J and a few bonus fish on caster Mark had roach and perch to around the pound mark.3rd Darren bickerton Starlets 11lb 9oz all silver fish from the swing-bridge section
4th Steve woolard trentmen 11lb 2oz
5th Ben Brighton linc's couty harrisons 11lb 1oz
6th Tony barker Shakespeare 11lb
7th Bob greenbury Leicester sensas 10LB 9OZ
8th Gary smith leicester sensas 9lb 12oz
TEAMS ON THE DAY
a very strong finish for Shakespeare with a very impressive score of 14pts and in a very close second Trentmen on 15 pts
3rd robbo's boys 25pts
4th Hankat A
Hankat B both 27pts

6th leicester sensas B 31pts
LEAGUE TO DATE WITH ONE ROUND TO GO
a change at the top this week see's Trentmen over take Team milo for the top place,with one round to go any of the top six could be in the money

as we had 5 anglers short again this week

what a day had 5 bream between 2lb an 3lb couple a chubb about 1lb a peace a billy about 1lb an a hybred about 2lb an a pile of roach most the big fish were on caster bar 1 bream on worm an most the roach were on worm had some down the middle on caster 10m towards the lock an rest off to joker lines at 11m at 10 an 2 oclock
nice to see the cut fanally show its potencial an loads of fish bein caught

top weight mate after your first two rounds another bag of money for your lot billo section motty section win and you the match winner you better bring a security van next week

the hardest bit is the results with 20 teams of four the rest of it i can do in the week some of the teams don't know who they are fishing for

so we have to check the team sheets
i hope for the last round we can get it done quicker
i'm glad you had a good match and could see what the canal is capable of it has quality fish in it its just getting the timing right and weather
me personally went back to zero

just potted in my lines when a jogger which i told i'd move my pole decided to try and step over it

BANG as the 7th section snapped

we swapped numbers and addresses i then quickly phoned the number to see if it was him ;)turned out it was i checked the address and that was correct but the problem was i couldn't telescope the section so it meant me walking up to fined someone with a spare 7th

not too far a way Sean Ashby had one

so i headed back to my peg and as i did so everyone to my right had or was netting fish

went straight out on my positive line and started catching i had 10 to 15 roach and then the lad came back and asked about the pole took photo's of the section just at the wrong time really because after that the roach had backed off to the right again

but to be fair the lad has phoned nathans £395 is the retail price he phoned me back and asked could i better that

well i did and because the lad has done the decent thing he's paid half now and half next month how often do you come across that

fair play to him!! your lucky he didn't phone claims direct and sue you for splinters in his shin, thus ruining his olympic dream and costing him millions in sponsership. and how often do you come across someone who carries a spare no 7. so really you had a lucky day!!!

Hey,
i remember not that long ago when a certain person lost his wragg and Started effing and blinding at an old man just because he was fishing the canal and didn't have his permission.

At the time i thought him lucky that

he didn't get his lights punched out !

not the best of days that one anyway it would of taken a few to stop that mood

hey, don't worry mate we all have bad days.........the old boy often brings it up every time your names mentioned.

As for the pegging fees, i wouldn't have a clue....... thought they had all been taken care of.
