Fuel Prices ..... How Is Everyone Coping ?

With everything being so expensive during this recession and petrol , diesel prices at an all time high ...... how as anglers are folk coping with the situation ?

In one respect i am lucky as i have a new company VW Transporter van for buisness use but away from work i have my own 3 year old people carrier which i use solely for fishing but my wife uses it all week for school runs , shopping and work etc ..... if you put £10 worth of petrol in your today the fuel gage hardly moves , so its a matter of having to put double the amount in everytime now ie £30 instead of £15 Image Image :'( :'(

Were getting about 46mpg in the focus 1.8TDCi and paying 133.9p a litre. A full tank is lasting Gem about 3 weeks just going to work and back. We use a bit more when going elsewhere obviously Image

It uses just over quarter of a tank going to rolfs and back so I cant complain. £125 a year for tax too Image Image

Fishing wise at the moment no different as i aint been lol.

But at the current prices it will mean my 2 or 3 trips a month to Rolfs this year will go up from the £30 (including toll which has also gone up) round trip of last year to around £40 this year this means a days fishing will now cost around £80 with pools and bait.

I notice it now during the week just taking the other half to and from work last year was cost about £12 now it's nearer £25.

Rip Off Britain through & through. >:( >:(

Joff its not just the transport companies, at the mo im working in oxford (98 mile each way ) and its costing my company about £40 aday. I have a shell euro shell card which i can use at all shell garages, all Esso garages, some tesco express's, some texico, any bp on motorways so basicly i can get fuel in most area's.
In my personal car i put 20 quid in for pottering about (taking the kids about, mrs to work and shopping ect) and that lasts about 2 weeks but i use the works van (companies fuel ) for this aswell. At the mo it aint effected my fishing as i aint been since november
