Oh and I said I had 8lb and weighed in 9lb 14oz actually, which is good for me !!!!
I do think you are exaggerating our draw, some good pegs and some average.
Big question is would have Leicester recorded 25 points off this draw ?
bye the way me phones had it
bonsai has been good in the matches we have fished this year mate taking nothing away from your draw mate or splitting hairs it was a top result

been on the phone all afternoon choppy looks like its a new goosebery phone thats coming :Dgod nows how they work but the bloke did say that mine was as old as the hills
swiv don't worry about choppy he's surfing on a silver line at the moment it will fall soon yesterday didn't matter it was a winter league the mind games started as soon as we pulled up like two gun fighters face to face on kegworth bridge the sun casting a long shadow in my case and a short shadow in choppy's who would come out on top could it be me against choppy i was focused and he was focused what ever happened on the plant on that day didn't matter until the scales-man arrived at about quarter four when kimber decided that he wasn't going to get another chub the time had come [drum roll please] choppy was last to weigh in i was always thinking that 8lb would be 10lb at least knowing what tricks the Quorn lads get up to but not this time hay choppy the kamasan leader had buckled under the pressure of the end peg dual
soar champs are on next week all the pegs are at sutton swiv easy walks i hope we get 49 anglers sorry choppy 50 plus it might help with choppy's expenses as he's running around the country like a black man on a rape charge
Swiv,
The Trent at Burton was bang on form 2 years ago, but we had a massive fish kill ! no one knows for sure what happened (not the cyanide problem, before that). Anyway the river is coming back with alot of 8 to 10lb weights at present, in fact Coors are running a charity open match this saturday.
Unfortunately it's still hard when the frosts arrive and that's why the soar is one of my favorite venues as winter time see's the venue at its best.
Shardlow fished well this year, infact the coors festival saw 2 sections on it only 2 weeks ago and there were plenty of 20lb plus weights.
No open matches anymore at Swarkestone, John Thompson as Derby AA finished years ago.
I fished that National in 1983 for Burton Mutual ! wow how time flies !!!
If you ever need any details of open matches on the river, go to the Coors AC website and the list will be on it. Tony Vanadome runs the matches and is a top bloke.
Going back a few years he(Chris)drew next to me,it was abig match on the river nene county champs, i did my usual 3 pints of hemp fishing wagg came 3rd team won, this is at a time when Oundle won everything!he couldnt believe you could catch like that by feeding that mutch hemp!Later on i was politely asked by Phil Deacon(God rest his soul)if i could feed less as i was filling the river up over the season.I turned out to be best season of my match fishing career. P.S. The advise must of sunk in dont use hemp much now good old days
Yes Joff some of the matches had 200 plus in attendance for instance in one of my runners up of the nene champs there was over 200! In the Embassy pairs in 2000 there was nearly 500, 225lb of bream year i think, now nobody fishes it hardly now how times change, nene champs stuggle to get 30. m8

Yep echo that CWH - in fact bumped into Tony on the tow path on out last match on the T&M at Armitage - he just 'crept' into this picture whilst we weighed in
joff stop moaning you could of had a draw like wigston even the mighty quorn wouldnt of won of that draw.1860 best peg won section brinks weir, peg before brook mouth worst peg in section.brinks middle wrong side of bridge good job we had the mighty porter on it to scrape some points back.brinks bottom, peg before proctors corner worst peg in section.greens last but one peg at the wrong end this year.deeps first peg wrong end only my class got us out of this one.osiers railway bridge flyer.little meadow carpark last dont know about this peg but it must be crap.normanton wrong end away from all the fish.kegworth in the boatyard normally flyer this week devoid of fish. compared to this your draw was a flyer.everyone stop getting onto bob dyer, else next year we wont have a river to fish give him a break no one else wants to do it.
