Mr V summed it up. Because of the cold temps, nightly frosts, no pumping warm water, the fish moved to the shallower waters when the sun came up warming the shallower waters first.
I want a high No peg. Ive had 5 and 6 and done shittyer than when im on 16.

Good post TK. I have to agree with Mr V as he knows the kidney pond as well as anyone, i would also add that round the other side of kidney pond(bit we can't fish) there is warm water coming in through aerial pipes, this would surely put some extra oxygen in the water round there and might be a fish holding area. As soon as the sun came up i stopped getting bites in the brambles and although peg 11 and 12 produced i still think the bigger stamp of chub(8 to 12oz) were the otherside of peg 1. In my opinion pegs 1 and 2 are still the ones ot beat and id happily take one of them next match, id also like a crack at 11 or 12 and 16 would be nice for a change.

Personally fancy dipping a line on 14 or 15 for the last match.
Given KOD and The Wedge breathing down my neck I can't take a chance by suggesting 13 (for a change!) for the last match.
Oooooops........that's done it

I also like the idea of having 13 /21 option, ingenious.

Dont matter where we draw. If Hoddy turns up we are all doomed anyway
If the hot waters in 1 - 3 if not 7 - 16
