I've been to WMAC this aft to look at the luggage and my new pole. I've decided to opt for the Preston competition gear, not the bright Blue stuff thou but the black ans dark Blue stuff, I think it looks smart. They had got the Maver gear in there but didn't like it as much when I had a good look at it. They have my new pole in too, the Maver 16m 271 so I had a good hold of that. 8-)

Anyway the 271 is a competition pole, it should handle the Carp ok and if it snaps I'll complain and get a new one Image I won't be using it much though for the Carp unless I need to get out 16m, I'll use my Deliverance mostly. It's only a cheap carp pole but it won more money than everyone elses last season Image

No :'( But he did say it will be about 10 days and it has only been a week, I have managed to get everything now except my pole, rod holdall, carryall, and fleece, he said might have to wait several weeks for the fleece but other stuff should be here next week.

Been on the Wharfe today btw, was blowing a gale, I didn't draw very well (again) and only managed to put 3-14-8 on the scaled. Richard Buxton won it with 6-0-0 off the flyer 23, Jammy b*****d Mark Douglas drew 24 and was 2nd with 4-0-0 summat and Crocky was 3rd with 4-0-0 summat. The wind was really bad there and we would all have doubled our weight if it had been calmer I'm sure.

He had a big Perch and Roach I think, Jammy Mark had a tench on the waggler. I bumped a few good fish due to the bloody wind.

I should have my gear for the start of the season hopefully.

BTW, there is a meeting this Thu, It might be the AGM, check with Tinky.
