the biggest problem isn't finding organisers its finding anglers to support the leagues.

I ran a summer series in 2008 that was only supported by 30 anglers, i took it over from Bill.

this year I was intending to run a summer league but as of yet I've had no interest at all.

I ran a summer series in 2008 that was only supported by 30 anglers, i took it over from Bill.

Yes I well remember that; the previous year we had a really good turnout and everyone was asking me to do it again. It was five a side and I had SEVENTEEN teams wanting to fish it 2008. After booking canals and pubs everybody had lost interest so I had to unbook them all (a complete waste of my time when I hadn't got it to waste).
I lost interest and certainly do not want to run 30-peggers.
I fished that League and found it very enjoyable but that was one League lost.
Seventeen down to six was ridiculous; maybe the anglers don't want matches, crappity smack if I know.
