Her goes then Dodge with an accurate report.

The fifth round of this very popular Stapeley Crewe League was fished in mill pond like conditions on the Shropshire Union Canal at Soudley.
On the individual side of things a chap named Eric Gardner (TEAM ECLIPSE) fished one of the best matches on record to win with 5-14-8. Aided by a slight ripple on his peg he brought gasps of disappointment from all round him as he caught skimmer after skimmer with the odd roach, on float fished boiled egg slices.
Runner-up and another brilliant effort, especially frpm Krap Heath, was Dean Williams (TEAM ECLIPSE). Dean worked tirelessly to stick his landing net under eight hundred and seventy three small roach on double caster for 5-7-8. Next came Ian Morrison (Ted Carter, Southampton) with one sturgeon (bait dubious)for 5-3-13 and Lewis Breeze was was rather fortunate to have 5-0-0 of fish jump into his keepnet. Then came another world beating perfomance from Perry Follows (TEAM ECLIPSE) who became the third section winner for TEAM ECLIPSE with 4-13-7 of yellow stream drops from the double Benz. Some other bloke from somewhere or other had 4-9-0.
On the team front TEAM ECLIPSE totally yellow stream it with 69 points which was always gonner take a bit of licking (think about it). Everybody else was crappity smack miles behind. I'm getting crappity smack totally bored now compiling this most unbiased report so I'll see you all in the last round at Wasperton Image Image Image Image Image

I didn't really miss the teams off, - they finished that far behind TEAM ECLIPSE they were on a different monitor Image Image Image Image

Teams: Team Eclipse 69; Trabucco Midlands Van den Eynde 59; Snowy’s 56; Sensas North West Green 53; Hodnet 52; Trabucco Midlands Van den Eynde Blue 51.
League: Trabucco Midlands Van den Eynde Blue 286; Team Eclipse 267; Sensas North West Gold 259; Ted Carter, Southport 257; Sensas North West Green and Snowy’s both 255.

Hope the crappity smack are right after all this Image Image

Wot about Bill and Dodge

I ended up with 11pts from a possible 14 choppie , well happy with that considering the conditions ...... managed to keep the plips coming from across in diabolical conditions, the wind made fishing almost impossible , weighed 3.4.0 for good points Image 3.8.0 was 2nd in section. The only downer for me was Keith Hulland on endpeg E1 two down from me moaning all crappity smack match !!!! Image Image Image Image Image Image ;)

Same as Dodge CWH, I think I had 11 points. Weighed in 3-14 summat. I played my master card and had a skimmer 10 oz first put; it is a special 'skimmer' rig I have devised to catch an early skimmer, - nice when the plan works.
4lb 6 won section.
crappity smack tree kept crashing down on the next peg, I was being attacked all match by branches.
My peg was 14 metres plus wide and as shallow as shyte.

The tree did me a favour though, it kept the boats to the near bank. Caught best when there was a little ripple on Image Image

Doing a 5 a side league every other Sunday from October 3 to Dec 12, no bloodworm, joker. Cost in bait peanuts or less than that if you do the bread!

Have 11 teams in at moment and 6 more forms out. No rip-off costs £50 per team to enter; all paid out on overall. £12 per match, = £2 peg fee, £5 ind and £5 sect.
