Well after the battering the Erewash took in the last 6 weeks it was time for the latest round of the Long Eaton Fed summer league-yes some of us still fish it :(
We decided to fish the high numbers 120 back as these seem to fish ok in the national.
As normal the canal was tap even after 3 boats and rain most days.
Result:
1.Young Lee of Liecester Sensas 5-4-0
2 Dave Callo of Measham 4-8-8
3 JJ 4-7-0
Section winners were:
Simon Robbo of Measham 4-5-0
Petebagup 4-6-0
20s zook 3-15-0
Winner had 15 late hemp roach and was on an end peg but fished a tidy match to beat off the 2lb tench from the Measham newcomer(to our series!) Dave Callaghan who just pipped JJ off the next peg who had squatt fish for his 4-7-0.
Simon Roberts had 4-5-0 of choppy fish and a 10oz redfin.I had 150 pinkie pommies and rudd from the peg next to where Jacko was last week and 20s zook had 140 bits for his 3-15-0.
Long Eatons finest thought he was going to empty it with sergeants but sadly 108 has a lack of form
Next week sees the return of series favourite North eye and possibly DC if he has finished tackling up yet
We are fishing the pegs(double pegged) just below Dockholme next week if there are any mad souls out there wanting to fish give Wrighty a ring draw and brekkie at the Haunted house

Also worth mentioning that Rocket got most of his tackle back when he was hit by an Earwash tornado as it was a tad windy today on peg 110:( Agent Harold walking the bank nearly went back for his moon boots
Just for Joffy am on the Sewer tomorrow at Radcliffe deeps as we have a challenge match against Barnstone!
Cant wait 6 babies heads catch a few roach a few perch and a few bleak...if i am lucky
