as you know i'm on the glebe this weekend and as far as i know the fishery has been closed that is until this Saturday
the glebe in my eye's is the best commercial around and roy and the lads do a great job
i'm there for one reason only and thats the memory of the greatest match angler of our time IVAN MARKS its a fantastic weekend and a great chance to catch up with all the anglers new and old past and present anglers who left the river and canal seen for the dark side but still remember the old stories  Imagei can see it being a long day
right back to the glebe ,now in the past I've always done well on chopped worm and caster and feeder caster and hemp but have never quiet caught enough to win the lake but saying that I've never yet had a end peg or a noted peg
i'm not into cat food or paste although the new product by fin looks easy to use paste.
in the past to do any good and when i say that its the anglers either side that count in my eye's  Imageso i can give the good old banter out.its been feeder
margins are the key on allot of the lakes and that seams to be corn
and if it stays warm it could be caster or pellet shallow now i don't want to take the kitchen sink in bait so can i ask for your advise and approaches to this sort of match Image Image

bye the way i will be using the new sensas van joff floats  Imagetraffic lights and all Image

the likes of chrisV,diddy, end peg and all the other commercial wizards how do you set your stall out on a new venue
i'm sure we can get some good answers
i made one big mistake last sunday and that cost me at least second place i just didn't read the peg early enough  Image Image

caster and hemp feeder and maybe a top kit plus 2 with corn, trouble is the regulars will batter you on the corn thing so i'd only set the feeder up

prob won't have much room so margins maybe out unless on end peg.

with a bit of luck you won't pick anything else up than the feeder. keep banging it in and don't forget the last 2 hours are always the best. have a quick look ( ie 30 seconds) on the corn after 3 hours and if it isn't burying instantly chuck it up the bank.

always worked for me there. forget the paste and stuff cos a match aint the time to start doing that.

keep it simple.

Oh and say hello to Graham Barry for me. ask him if the fones are down his way!!!!!!

Margin madness on lake 1 joff  Image Image ..... i drew peg 3 last year which is proper crap, filled the margin line in to my left @ 5mtrs , last 90 mins it was solid, double corn over hemp & corn  ;) must admit it was crying out for pole shalla but it was way too windy that day. Kieron only had a few perch on uglies then did a ton plus in the last 90 mins on the worm, thats how the place seems to fish when all the pegs are in. Everyone only seemed to pick up very small carp on the tip  :-/  :( James de Clouet (pellethead 76) won that day with 150lb ..... all caught in the last 2 hours , pm him on the other site, he a good lad ;) Image Image.
