when we used to fish the hanchurch waters on the Model canal Etc... they would not let you shove a bank stick in you had to use adapters of your box legs , because the pools where rubber lined....so me thinks chukin an ice breaker in wouldntbe much help
Yeah they had a problem when they first built the Model Canal. In a nutshell the canal was not holding the water and to plug the leaks it was a very costly operation to have the venue lined, hence no bank sticks, extending legs or the like. This also applies to the odd other venue.
There was quite a comprehensive report out at one stage categorically stating that fish stock do feel some sort of stress through ice-breaking activities. I don't know whether this was proved or not. This is, I am almost certain, why he closes Heronbrook and quite a few other fisheries close as well.
